Linda Markowitz, a partner in Rosenthal & Markowitz, LLP since January 2001, concentrates in the areas of family and matrimonial law and residential real estate. Linda handles the full spectrum of issues: divorces, support collections, adoptions, pre- and post-nuptual agreements. The firm is proud to represent both married and unmarried couples in managing and resolving family law issues. In addition to representing adult litigants, she is a member of the Law Guardian panel and represents children in Family Court matters. She also handles residential real estate matters and closings.

Linda has a very active professional life outside of the office as well. Linda is a former President of the Westchester Women's Bar Association. Linda taught Family Law as an Adjunct Professor at Pace University School of Law in the fall semester of 2004. She is a member of the New York Collaborative Law Group and the Association of Collaborative Lawyers of Westchester / Rockland. She sits on the New York State Bar Association's Committees on Minorities and the Profession. She also sits on the Board of Directors of the Westchester Women's Bar Association Foundation, and Surprise Lake Camp. She recently left the Board of the YWCA of White Plains.

Linda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pace University School of Law in 1989 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University and an MAT degree from Manhattanville College.

Linda is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of New York and the State of Florida, and the State of Connecticut, the United States District Court, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Linda is very busy with all of these activities but still finds time for the loves of her life, her three grandchildren, Lula, Ethan, and Jack. She has had many "previous lives" including owning and operating a KOA Kampground in Gardiner, Maine.

Linda still loves the practice of law. She maintains her equanimity and balance, even when dealing with dysfunctional family situations, because she finds people endlessly interesting, and derives great satisfaction from helping all of her clients.
